Zinc helps to struggle with cold


According to the researcher from University of Helsinki of doctor Harri Hemila, reception zinc-containing preparations considerably reduces duration of cold.

Five experiments it was spent with zinc use (a daily dose less 75mg), three – with zinc acetate (a daily dose more than 75 mg) and five – with zinc salts (a daily dose more than 75 mg).
Results have shown that zinc in any way does not help to struggle with illness, and such treatment is inefficient. During too time if to accept zinc salts cold recedes earlier, reducing the recover period to 20 %. The Best results have appeared at zinc acetate – its reception along with the basic treatment, has helped to recover on the average on 42 % faster.
As to by-effects serious consequences of reception of zinc plates it was not observed. However, in several cases volunteers have complained on unpleasant finish in a mouth.
