Experts from Research centre Juliha have shown that with the years it is more difficult to older persons to perceive a complete picture as they concentrate attention to details more, — transfers AlphaGalileo referring to the publication in magazine Cortex.
Young and elderly healthy volunteers have taken part in the research program. It suggested to consider pictures on which capital letters developed of the small. Participants should tell that they see – separate small letters or one big. Thus, scientists investigated, as ability to concentrate on local and global elements of images with the years changes.
It was found out that for young examinees it was easier to see complete object when it developed of more fine details. During too time elderly participants irrespective of the size of making objects "hanged" on details.
Scientists assume that the given work will allow to understand better processes which occur to visual perception at healthy ageing of an organism.
